Summer Time Crystals and Rituals

During the spring as the warmer weather revealed itself I started a commitment to daily walks. I made this commitment for my physical and mental well being. Not only do I want to improve my physical stamina but I want to also get a dose of sunshine and nature on a regular basis. In this fast passed world that we live in I think it is vitally important for our overall well being to connect with nature. Being in nature and working with crystals are two of my favorite ways to do that.

Crystals encompass all of the elements, earth, water, air and fire. By having crystals in my home and working with them I can tap into nature no matter what season it is. Sweet!

Here are a few crystals suggestions you can work with this summer::

Citrine: Sunny citrine brings in the golden ray of the quartz family and the elements of fire and sun. It is vibrant and energizing stone. Citrine is known as a stone of abundance and prosperity. It resonates with the solar plexus chakra that taps into your personal will and aids in mental clarity. Citrine stokes the fires of creativity and growth on all levels.

Ways to work with citrine: Do a meditation with citrine where you imagine the golden warmth of the sun entering through your crown chakra and working its way down to the tips of your toes. You can keep a piece of citrine in your wallet, wear it in jewelry, use it in a bath or in an elixir.

Pyrite: Fiery pyrite is considered a protection stone that is both energizing and grounding. It deflects and dispels negative energy and balances polarities. It can be used to facilitate creation and swift action for new beginnings.

Ways to work with pyrite: Carry pyrite with you, keep it in your work area , create a crystal grid or wear it in jewelry.

Golden Tiger’s Eye: Associated with the solar plexus, golden tiger’s eye is a confidence booster. I have  found Tiger’s Eye to be both grounding and uplifting to the spirit. For many years I carried a piece of tumbled tiger’s eye with me.

Ways to work with golden tiger’s eye: You can carry a piece of tumbled tiger’s eye with you, wear it in jewelry or use it in a crystal grid.

Summertime Rituals:

Setting up a prosperity grid with the above mentioned crystals is a nice option. Tip, by adding quartz to a grid you amplify the energies of the other stones.

Ribbon Wishes & Blessings:

Ribbons with wishes and blessings written on them

I write down wishes and blessings on ribbons and tape them to a window frame. In the photo above you will see that the window I chose faces another building…yes living in an urban environment. As the breeze blows on the ribbons it carries my wishes into my home and out into the world. These wishes can be for yourself, your family, your community and the planet. One of my wishes this summer is to have an open heart and to give and receive love freely.

This ritual reminds me of Tibetan prayer wheels in which rolls of thin paper, imprinted with many copies of the mantra Om Mani Padme Hum are wound around an axle in a protective container and then the wheel is  spun around and around sending offerings and spiritual blessings out into the world.

Enjoy your summer and crystal love to you!
